Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and Measures for Justice Launch an Innovative Data Tool for Prosecution Data Transparency and Accountability

Get an inside look at how Commons came to life through collaboration between the Prosecutor’s Office and residents—and how it can be used to explore local police data.

WHAT: The event, led by the Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and Measures for Justice, is designed to bring together community members, partners, leaders, and justice system stakeholders to preview the new tool, learn how community input shaped its development, and explore how the public can use it to access local prosecution data.

In a step toward transparency and accountability, the Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (PAO), in conjunction with national nonprofit, Measures for Justice, is unveiling a powerful new data tool called Commons which gives the public direct access to accurate, regularly updated criminal justice data. • Contextual information about the jurisdiction
  • Filters for comparing data by demographics
  • An easy way to share data with policymakers, media, and others
